Recognizing the importance of nurturing innovative thinking in Muskoka’s changing economy, Muskoka Futures implemented a program to encourage our entrepreneurial citizens through mentorship, seminars, business resources, and peer networking opportunities, through a free program. We assisted this organization through the incorporation process and continue to offer advisory services to them through our participation on their Board. Muskoka Community Network (MCN)
An initiative initially started by Muskoka Futures, now a separate incorporated entity, to ensure that all people in Muskoka have access to telecommunications services - everything from most basic (e.g. private phone lines) to high-speed Internet capacity. Muskoka Young Entrepreneur Programming
Muskoka Futures plays an important role in the creation, delivery and implementation of programs designed specifically to encourage youth participation in an effort to grow the economy of our community. Under the umbrella of Muskoka Young Entrepreneur Programming, our organization has joined with caring individuals from the Muskoka community to build in our young people an understanding of the entrepreneurial spirit and leadership.
With a mission to inspire and educate our young people by equipping them with the necessary business skills through proven programs that will effectively reverse the migration trend of this critical youth mass and enhance Muskoka's economy with an innovative workforce, Muskoka Young Entrepreneur Programming undertakes programs such as: Muskoka BizPlan Challenge, Youth Entrepreneur Program, Entrepreneurial Programming for the Young Adult, Muskoka Community and Business Resource Centre.
